Headband

Strains

Headband is a hybrid cannabis strain resulting from a cross between two well-known breeds, OG Kush and Sour Diesel. This strain is 60% Indica and 40% Sativa, producing very balanced high effects. It was initially referred to as Diesel #1. There have been several name changes before settling to Headband, a name suggested by a breeder called Loompa. All its parents are heavy hitters, giving Headband a high THC level of up to 27%.

Headband is easy to cultivate. Both novice and experienced growers can care for the plant throughout its growth period to get high yields. The plant is known to resist mold, mildew, and pests. So, you only need to plant it at the correct time and provide all the conditions required for good yields. It only takes 9 to 11 weeks to produce 18 ounces indoors and 21 ounces outdoors per plant, on average.

You can identify Headband from other strains with their pale green leaves and flowers covered with white sticky trichomes and tangy and lemony aroma. There are also undertones of pine and skunk. When smoked, the taste is citrusy, which turns to diesel on the exhale. The overall taste profile is that of lemon, which is a special treat for your palate.

The high effects of Headband lean more on the Indica side. Once inhaled into the system, it induces deep relaxation accompanied by a high cerebral stimulation that is very distinct but makes you feel more comfortable. But you should not take it in the morning because it tends to make you feel lazy and might induce couchlock, not unless you planned to do nothing. The Headband is best paired with audio or visual entertainment.

Headband strains are for both medicinal and recreational use. Medicinally, patients take it to help relieve anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADD, ADHD, insomnia, etc.
