Colombian Gold Strain Review

Colombian Gold grows tall and bulky, producing forest-green buds at maturity. The buds are not covered by dense trichomes, as you would expect. This structure makes its orange pistils more visible, resulting in a more classic appearance. Also, the golden hues of its leaves and calyxes stand out because of the sparse trichomes.

Colombian Gold is also one of the rarest strains in the United States. Luckily, growers can still find seeds to multiply through the required growth conditions. This marijuana strain grows best outdoors in humid climates with a temperature of about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. However, you have to wait for about 10-12 weeks for Colombian Gold to flower. It is usually ready for harvesting in November, producing impressive yields.

Colombian Gold produces a pungent, skunky aroma of citrus, soil, and herbal spice. But unlike the smell, the flavor is earthy with orange notes. You can also taste a slight herbal zest.

Colombian Gold stands out for its energizing Sativa high without paranoia and fatigue. It is best for daytime use. In fact, it gives the energy necessary to go about your daily chores. It also elevates creativity levels and focus, making it the best for doing any kind of art.

    1. The pure landrace Columbian Sativa’s are lost. Holland genetics have been introduced in Columbia now.

  3. I have a mason jar full of seeds of Columbia gold from the 70,s seeds take a while to germinate and grow but still germinates and grows just fine. This strain is my favorite and it’s perfect (if you get the authentic seeds and stuff) the strain has fs a top shelf high and fs Is top shelf bud. The bud was very dense and the bud was very sticky. The taste was a hash taste for sure.

    1. I am currently growing what is supposed to be Columbian Gold. I purchased them from Nukeheads.com I am new to growing so I’m not sure how true these are. I have posted pictures on certain group sites im in and most peot are saying just about the same thing. That it’s not what I paid for but who knows. Mine has the beautiful gold/orange hairs. She doesn’t show trichomes an the outside except inside which is what I have ready that is how the strain is supposed to grow. Another thing I’ve noticed is that she is not putting out any smell as of yet and she’s in her 8th week of flower. Another thing to mention why everyone is saying it’s not a true strain or that it’s not even the strain because ok here it is. It’s an Autoflower. So yes I see many signs against it but either way I paid for them so I’m gonna grow them fully and smoke them if course. Once I have harvested and cured it at least I now know why flavors and smells I should be looking for so hopefully within the next 6 weeks or so I will be finding out. If there was a way to post picture/s I’d definitely post if for you all to see and share your opinions with me. I am in no way saying that I know for certain that what I am growing is 💯 Columbian Gold but I am sharing my story as to what I was told I was buying.
