Girl Scout Cookies strain

Monster Cookies

Monster Cookies is an Indica-dominated hybrid strain with an Indica to Sativa ratio of 80-20. It resulted from a cross between the omnipresent Girl Scout Cookies and the flavorful and eye-catching Granddaddy Purple. This gene combination from two highly potent parents resulted in a marijuana strain with a moderately high THC content of about 21%.

The Monster Cookies buds are famous for their amped-up appearance and distinguishable by the medium-sized nuggets that borrow heavily from the Indica structure. The plant is characterized by tightly coiled forest green leaves stained by deep blue and purple colors, resulting from an anthocyanin pigment accumulation. The buds are large and have dense neon-green and popcorn-shaped nuggets.

Experienced cannabis cultivars say that Monster Cookies is of medium difficulty to grow at home. It is, therefore, an adventure that a novice should not dream of. Reportedly, this strain grows well both indoors and outdoors in a Mediterranean climate. The temperature should be maintained at around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Routine practices such as topping should be carried out to allow light penetration. It flowers after 8-9 weeks, yielding about 1-3 oz per square foot.

Monster Cookies has a pungent mix of earth and sweet berries aroma from Granddaddy Purple and a spicier fruity scent when buds are broken. The inhale has a sweet berry flavor, which turns into a danker and sourer cherty on the exhale. The Monster Cookies high starts to build slowly in your head before creeping down to the rest of the body, leaving you cheered and pain-free. Cerebral stimulation may be triggered, but many stoners of this strain have reported being uplifted.

This strain is best recommended to those who want to relax or hang out with friends. Its sedating and uplifting effects are ideal for social gatherings. Medicinally, Monster Cookies is preferred for treating insomnia, depression, chronic pain, loss of appetite, PTSD, etc.
