Strains

This cannabis strain was named after a marijuana activist, John Herer. It is a Sativa-dominated strain (55% Sativa and 45% Indica) developed by the Sensi Seeds. This hybrid cannabis is a result of crossing Northern Light #5, Shiva Skunk, and Haze. With its features inherited from the best of its parents, Jack Herer has an appealing flavor and effects. The strains’ average THC is 23%, with other growers even reporting higher values.

Jack Herer is one of the most popular cannabis strains, probably because of its ease of cultivation. Even if you are just a beginner, you will not find it challenging to have a good harvest from it. However, the place where you will grow the seeds should be spacious as they can grow up to a height of two meters. Jack Herer does well both indoors and outdoors with high resistance to diseases and pests. It does very well in dry, balmy, and warm weather conditions. Constant exposure to sunlight can also increase yields, with the flowering time of between 7 and 10 weeks.

Jack Herer is a tall strain. At flowering, it produces buds that glitter in the light because of the high level of resin that these species produce. The sugar leaves are characteristically green and decorated with coiled orange pistils and water leaves are forest green. When properly cured, the plant has a distinctive aroma of damp skunky earth with piney and woody hints. During the inhale, you will feel herbal flavors that are earthy and woody.

This cannabis strain is popular among recreational and medical users. After the inhalation, users are greeted with a heavy head rush that is more energizing than disorienting. The effects start on the head and spread down the body, creating a sense of relaxation and happiness. Unlike other strains, Jack Herer will keep you alert and improve your creativity. That is why this strain is mainly consumed in the morning, just before setting off for daytime activities.

Medical users have found Jack Herer strain is used for treating mental and neurological disorders such as anxiety, migraines, ADHD, PTSD, etc.

  1. I planted this directly into the soil, kept it watered and no fertilizer in good Oklahoma red dirt. I did top it twice, on the 5th set of leaves and the 7th. Mostly trying to control its height. It still hit 8′ before harvest. Planted in April and harvested in October it was in flower for 10 weeks. Extremely heavy yield. After curing for 2 weeks was busted down and trimmed the super gummy buds. The smell of the buds alone would almost get you high. This is one hit weed. A long lasting intense high that is not for beginners. Use it get through the day and keep yourself entertained without losing energy or being couchlocked. Don’t attempt to sleep on it. You’ll probably wake back up talking yourself and laughing at secrets only you know. Some of the finest Marijuana I’ve ever tried and I’ve been at it over 50 yrs
