One of the best things about the cannabis community is that it’s full of so many creative and innovative people. That means there are almost always new and improved ways to enjoy cannabis. One of the latest and greatest developments is a special treat called moon rocks, and people who love cannabis in Denver are really excited about this product.
If you love enjoying flower cannabis and concentrates at the same time, caviar moon rocks should definitely be on your radar. Smoking moonrocks for the first time can be intimidating. Let’s share the way to properly smoke moonrocks and what you’ll need to make them. First, let’s be clear on what moonrocks weed is exactly.
What are Moon Rocks?
It’s not entirely clear where moon rocks came from, but we’re certainly glad they’re here. They’re an absolute powerhouse of THC concentration. They’re nuggets of cannabis flower that have been coated in hash oil or other cannabis concentrates then rolled in kief. The result is a little ball of kiefy goodness that smells and tastes amazing.
The combination of flower concentrates, and kief delivers a massive amount of cannabinoids and terpenes that are sure to delight just about any cannabis connoisseur. Our only word of advice is to proceed with caution, especially if you’re not experienced with cannabis concentrates because the THC content of moon rocks is out of this world.
How to Smoke Moon Rocks?
Preparing moon rocks can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s totally worth it! It can be difficult to break up the flower inside because it’s coated with concentrate, so a normal grinder won’t be able to work on these. Instead, break them up with your fingers or cut off pieces with scissors. From there, load your moon rocks into a glass or mix with other cannabis flowers. A little goes a long way, so we recommend a small bowl or cone.
How to Make Moon Rocks
The first step is choosing your moon rocks weed. While GSC is the traditional moon rocks strain, you can really make them with any one of your favorite cannabis varieties. If you don’t have GSC flower or concentrate, don’t worry. After all, this is all about making something that matches your own tastes. You’ll need all of the following to make moon rocks:
- Cannabis Flower
- Cannabis Concentrate or Hash Oil
- Kief
- Tongs or Tweezers
- Liquid Dropper or Sprayer
Start by grabbing a nice dense nug, then cover it in concentrate. If you’re using a concentrate that’s a little on the solid side, you may have to heat it up slightly until it gets into liquid form. We recommend using a liquid dropper or sprayer to apply the concentrate because completely dunking your nug in concentrate will make it much harder to dry and eventually light.
Once your flower is covered in concentrate, use tongs or tweezers to roll it in kief until it’s coated. Next, let your fresh moon rock dry until it’s ready to smoke. If you don’t have the patience to wait so long before smoking moon rocks, you can simply buy some that are already made.
